“I want to reveal the exploits of animal people that are living without our permission”
This is s a photo-documentary about the life and times of the Hepburn and Daylesford fox. I am interested in the way animals and humans are depicted in their struggle to live in the Australian landscape from my study of the paintings, prints and films available. Australia is the only developed country in which I have worked where environmentalists and even animal rights activists make such a sharp distinction between Native and the Introduced species. Has this rationale affected us in other ways? And is this a type of rage when confronted by a rabbit a cane toad a blackberry bush gorse and of course, the fox.
