Point of No Return

Point of No Return

Point of No Return photography began unexpectedly in December 2000.

The train ride upstate, the four hour walk over the highway through the hills to my habitual campsite.

The discovery of a number of burnt school books used to start a campfire.

Trees the color flame. Woodsmoke up the nose and feet wet. The light is failing the site looks beautiful.

The ambient anxiety around the new environmental science, all of our hopes asunder for our defeated candidate

a useless education my abandonment of this place and a

Lifelong Devotion to all this.
